This photograph by Andrew Kidd showcases one of London's most famous bridges; The Millenium Bridge, viewed from the southside of the River Thames looking across to St Paul's Cathedral on the Northside. The use of perspective pulls you into the image and the early morning light creates a real sense of atmosphere and drama to the image.
The Millennium Bridge is a steel suspension bridge for pedestrians crossing the River Thames in London. Nicknamed the "Wobbly Bridge" and "Wibbly Wobbly" after pedestrians experienced an alarming swaying motion on its opening day.
Initially opening on 10 June 2000, it had an astonishing 100,000 people cross it during the first weekend and the bridge has become synonoymous with the capital city.
Andrew is a professional interior designer, who has always been fascinated by architecture and urban landscapes. Photography is his way of exploring the world and capturing the feeling and atmosphere of a place. He aims to capture images that are a bit abstract - highlighting unexpected details or viewpoints.
