This black-and-white artwork captures a man in a suit walking confidently past a building facade, featuring oversized letters spelling "HA." The clean lines of the modern architecture contrast with the figure's movement, creating a dynamic yet minimalist composition.
The large, bold letters dominate the scene, adding a playful element, while the reflective glass above subtly mirrors the urban skyline. The man's composed expression and stride evoke a sense of purpose and professionalism, embodying the rhythm of daily life in a contemporary cityscape. The image balances humor and sophistication through its thoughtful use of space and contrast.
For photographer Amadeus Long, photography initially served as a form of meditation—a way to escape his inner world and embrace the simplicity of seeing, rather than thinking. He began exploring photography at a time when he was deeply fascinated by society. Having reached a point in life where he felt the need to completely relearn how to engage with people, society, and the world, Long likened the experience to that of someone recovering from a major accident, relearning to use their limbs. In his case, it was about rediscovering how to use his mind and senses fully.
